Abstract

This research is an experimental laboratory that aims to determine the effectiveness of Solid Soap preparations with active ingredients Moringa Leaf Extract with several variations of concentration, namely 5% (F2), 10% (F3), 15% (F4) and (F1) negative control without extract. In this research, tests on preparations included organoleptic tests, pH, foam stability and antibacterial effectiveness using a diffusion method to determine the diameter of inhibitory zones for the growth of Staphylococcus aureus on Nutrient Agar (NA) medium. Based on the results of research that has been done moringa Leaf extract can be used as solid soap preparationsand all soap preparations obtained meet the existing pH and foam stability standards. The inhibition zone diameter showed that the 15% Moringa Leaf extract solid soap had the greatest inhibition, namely at 1x24 hours having an average of 28,30 mm and 2x24 hours having an average of 17,23 mm. Based on the results of the One Way Anova statistical analysis and Tukey’s further test on the effectivenessof staphylococcus aureus only a comparisonsof the F3 vs F4 groups showed insignificant results..
