Hubungan Merokok Dengan Derajat Asma di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sebamban II Angsana
Abstract
Penderita asma mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Asma belum bisa disembuhkan, tetapi penatalaksanaan yang tepat dapat mengontrol gejala dan mengurangi frekuensi kambuhan. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi ke kambuhan asma salah satunya adalah merokok. gejala asma berulang dapat dikategorikan menggunakan derajat asma. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara merokok dengan derajat asma di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sebamban II Angsana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional study. Responden berjumlah 51 orang penderita asma yang mengalami serangan asma selama kurang dari satu bulan terakhir di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sebamban II Angsana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden adalah perokok ringan yaitu sebanyak 23 orang (45,1%) dan sebagian besar derajat asma responden adalah intermitten yaitu sebanyak 23 orang (45,1%). Hasil uji statistik menunjukan nilai significancy (p-value) 0,006 atau < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa korelasi antara kebiasaan merokok dengan derajat asma adalah bermakna. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara merokok dan derajat asma, dimana merokok meningkatkan frekuensi serangan asma dan memperburuk keparahan gejala.
