Kualitas Dukungan Teman Sebaya: Pengaruh Persitensi Akademik Pada Mahasiswa Kedokteran
Abstract
Menyelesaikan seluruh proses studi kedokteran tidaklah mudah bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap persistensi akademik pada mahasiswa kedokteran di Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 387 mahasiswa kedokteran di Kota Makassar. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala dukungan teman sebaya dan skala persistensi akademik. Data dianalisis dengan teknik regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap persistensi akademik pada mahasiswa kedokteran di Kota Makassar dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05). Adapun sumbangsih pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap persistensi akademik yaitu sebesar 26,8% dengan koefisien pengaruh positif. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi mahasiswa untuk berkomitmen saling membantu secara emosional selama studi.
