Abstract

Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang serius di negara tropis, termasuk Indonesia. Pendekatan berbasis komunitas seperti pengelolaan sampah 3R dan pemberdayaan kader jumantik sekolah berpotensi mendukung upaya pengendalian vektor, namun bukti empirisnya masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara penerapan konsep 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) dan peran anak sekolah sebagai kader jumantik terhadap kejadian Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di Kelurahan Sei Lekop, Kota Batam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional, melibatkan 164 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji deskriptif serta chi square untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara penerapan konsep 3R dengan kejadian DBD (p=0,000) dan antara peran anak sekolah sebagai kader jumantik dengan kejadian DBD (p=0,000). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan konsep 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) dan pemberdayaan anak sekolah sebagai kader jumantik secara signifikan berhubungan dengan kejadian DBD. Strategi ini dapat dijadikan pendekatan integratif dalam pengendalian vektor nyamuk penyebab DBD, serta direkomendasikan sebagai intervensi berbasis masyarakat dalam kebijakan kesehatan lingkungan.
