The influence of EHR implementation on nursing practice varies across different environments. This literature analysis sought to assess the efficacy of electronic health record utilization by nurses in clinical documentation, drawing on primary research published from 2015 to 2025. A total of 12 publications were selected following a stringent screening procedure utilizing the SPIDER framework, including various study designs such as observational, longitudinal, and interventional methodologies. The results indicated that EHR improves documentation efficiency and access to clinical information when systems are optimally designed and supplemented with sufficient training. Poor usability and insufficient user engagement result in heightened burden, stress, and diminished quality of care. The successful deployment is intricately connected to system usability, managerial endorsement, and nurse participation in system development. The results underscore the necessity for user-centered design and ongoing organizational dedication to ensure that EHRs facilitate rather than obstruct nursing care.
Fitra Pringgayuda, Faridah Hashim ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1843 Sun, 18 May 2025 15:56:03 +0000 Descriptive Study of Gadget Usage Patterns and Their Implications for Academic Performance and Health https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1825
The widespread adoption of digital technologies among university students necessitates a thorough investigation into their usage patterns and the multifaceted implications for academic achievement and health. Earlier research has proven that poor social support is a major risk indicator for later-life depression. The present research has a goal of analyzing the relationship between support from friends and depressive symptoms among older people living at social institutions. A descriptive correlational design was used with a total sampling method. The population subjected to the research was 44 older people who lived at the Tresna Werdha Social Home Wisma Kartika Yatira. A structured questionnaire to rate support from friends was applied, containing validated items to assess both perceived and provided support. The results indicated that 25 respondents had moderate levels of support from their friends, whereas 19 had poor levels of support from their friends. Regarding depression, 23 respondents had no signs of depression, and 21 had slight signs of depression. There was a statistically significant relationship between support from their friends and depression (r = 0,722, p = 0.000). The evidence indicates that levels of support from their friends are linked with higher levels of depressive signs. From the findings, a proposal is made to adopt the SMB (Sharing Motivation Together) intervention—a peer-based intervention aimed at promoting mutual encouragement, emotional attachment, and activity among older persons at institutional settings.
Gustya Tamansyah, Muryati Muryati, Vera FF, Zaenal Mutaqin, Dian Yuniar Syanti Rahayu, Rukman Rukman ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1864 Sun, 18 May 2025 16:22:44 +0000 The Impact of Personal Hygiene and the Use of Personal Protective Equipment on the Incidence of Dermatitis https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1852
Skin diseases are commonly caused by bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic infections, and allergic reactions. However, various challenges have been identified in practice, which hinder the system’s effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the barriers to EMR implementation in the Outpatient Clinic of Gunung Maria Hospital, Tomohon. A qualitative approach was employed, using in-depth interviews with informants directly involved in the EMR implementation process. The findings reveal that the barriers arise from multiple aspects. From the human resources perspective, additional time and training are needed to enable staff to adapt to the new system. In terms of technological infrastructure, unstable network connectivity and the limited availability of hardware, such as computers and printers in certain service units, hamper the data input process. Regarding software, the existing system does not fully meet the hospital’s operational needs. Procedurally, insufficient dissemination of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) has resulted in some staff not fully understanding the system’s workflow. Furthermore, the evaluation aspect remains problematic due to the absence of a fully functioning monitoring mechanism. External disturbances, such as power outages, have also contributed to service delays by disrupting the electronic documentation process. In conclusion, the EMR implementation at the outpatient clinic still faces various technical and non-technical challenges. Therefore, improvements and strengthening efforts across multiple aspects are required to ensure that the EMR system can operate more effectively and efficiently in supporting the enhancement of healthcare service quality.
Angelina Goni, Junita Maja Pertiwi, Windy Wariki ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1908 Mon, 19 May 2025 01:30:23 +0000 Determinants of Compliance Among Chronic Kidney Disease Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis at RSUD ODSK, North Sulawesi https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1922
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a major chronic health issue that requires long-term therapy, one of which is hemodialysis. Hormonal contraceptives such as pills were associated with weight gain and headache/dizziness; injections and implants were linked to menstrual disorders, weight changes, vaginal discharge, and headache/dizziness. Non-hormonal contraceptives like IUDs were associated with menstrual disorders and vaginal discharge. These findings highlight the need for personalized contraceptive counseling to consider side effects and fertility expectations in contraceptive decision-making.
Andi Masnilawati Masnilawati, Yusra Taqiah, Nia Karuniawati ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1846 Thu, 29 May 2025 08:34:57 +0000 The Influence of Teamwork and Work Discipline on Employee Performance: A Quantitative Study at Ananda Maternity and Children's Hospital, Makassar https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1874
Human resources are a critical component that every organization must prioritize, as they play a vital role in determining the success of the organization in achieving its goals. This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of teamwork and work discipline on employee performance at RSIA Ananda in Makassar City. A quantitative research approach was employed, with data collected through the use of questionnaires. The population of the study consisted of 317 employees at RSIA Ananda Makassar. Using purposive sampling, a total of 177 respondents were selected as the sample. Data testing included both validity and reliability tests to ensure the quality of the instrument. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, with hypothesis testing conducted through the F-test. The results of the F-test showed that the calculated F value was 228.477, which exceeds the critical F value of 3.05, and the significance level was 0.000, which is below the threshold of 0.05. These findings indicate that teamwork and work discipline have a statistically significant simultaneous effect on employee performance. Moreover, the results demonstrate that both teamwork and work discipline contribute to employee performance at RSIA Ananda Makassar, with work discipline emerging as the dominant influencing factor.
Dian Anggraeni Rachman, Sri Reski Astuti, Nurul Fajriah Istiqamah ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1874 Sat, 31 May 2025 11:34:01 +0000 The Relationship Between Binge Watching and Sleep Quality of Undergraduate Nursing Students at Makassar Health Science College https://journal.unpacti.ac.id/index.php/pjphsr/article/view/1873
Binge watching, or binge watching a series at a time, is an increasingly common phenomenon among college students and has the potential to affect sleep quality. Poor sleep quality can have a negative impact on students' physical, mental health and academic performance. This study aims to determine the relationship between binge watching behavior and sleep quality in undergraduate nursing students at the Makassar Health Sciences College. This study used quantitative methods with an analytic observational design and a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all 133 nursing students, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected using binge watching behavior questionnaire and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Data analysis was performed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The results showed a significant relationship between binge watching behavior and students' sleep quality (p = 0.036; p < 0.05). It can be concluded that binge watching behavior affects students' sleep quality, so it is recommended to reduce this habit to improve quality of life and academic achievement.
Hardianti Hardianti, Muh.
