Pengaruh Ubi Jalar Ungu terhadap Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2: Review

Abstract

Ubi Jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L. Poir) dikenal sebagai pangan yang tinggi antioksidan, serat, vitamin dan mineral. Review ini menjelaskan hasil penelitian terbaru tentang efek ubi jalar ungu terhadap Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 (DMT2). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi literatur dari Google Schoolar, Science Direct dan PubMed. Pencarian artikel dilakukan dengan kata kunci “purple sweet potato, antosianin, diabetes mellitus type 2”.  Selanjutnya artikel yang dipublikasikan pada tahun 2013-2023 dipilih untuk selanjutnya direview. Terbukti bahwa ubi jalar ungu dapat memberikan efek yang baik pada DMT2. Ubi jalar ungu membantu menurunkan kadar gula darah dan biomarker DMT2 lainnya secara in vivo dan in vitro
