AUTHOR FEES

Author Fees

The Journal of System and Computer Engineering (JSCE) charges the following author fees:

Article Submission: IDR 0.00
There is no fee for submitting a manuscript to JSCE.

Article Processing Fee (APC): IDR 1,000,000
The Article Processing Fee applies to manuscripts that have successfully passed the Initial Editorial Validation. The APC must be completed and verified before the manuscript is forwarded to the peer-review stage.

Fast-Track Review: IDR 1,000,000
The Fast-Track Review fee is an optional additional fee and is charged separately from the Article Processing Fee. Therefore, authors who choose the Fast-Track Review option are required to pay:

Article Processing Fee: IDR 1,000,000
Fast-Track Review Fee: IDR 1,000,000
Total: IDR 2,000,000

The Fast-Track Review option is intended solely to expedite the review and editorial handling process. It does not guarantee acceptance, favorable reviewer comments, or publication of the manuscript. The manuscript will still undergo the same scientific evaluation and editorial requirements as manuscripts processed through the regular review procedure.

Current Editorial Process

  1. Initial Editorial Validation – The manuscript is screened by the Editorial Team to assess its relevance to the journal's scope, manuscript completeness, compliance with the JSCE template, and general readiness for peer review.
  2. Payment Process – Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial validation proceed to the payment stage. The applicable Article Processing Fee, and Fast-Track Review fee if selected by the author, must be completed and verified before the manuscript proceeds to peer review.
  3. Peer Review – The manuscript is evaluated by independent peer reviewers based on its scientific quality, methodology, technical contribution, and other relevant academic criteria.
  4. Copy Editing – Manuscripts that successfully complete the peer-review and editorial evaluation process proceed to the copy-editing stage.
  5. Production – The accepted manuscript undergoes final formatting, layout preparation, proofreading, and publication preparation.
  6. Publication – The final version of the article is published in the scheduled issue of the Journal of System and Computer Engineering (JSCE).

Important Payment Policy

Payment of the Article Processing Fee or Fast-Track Review fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication of the manuscript.

All manuscripts remain subject to independent peer review and editorial evaluation. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is based solely on the scientific quality of the manuscript and its compliance with the journal's editorial requirements.

If the manuscript is ultimately not accepted for publication after the peer-review and editorial evaluation process, the Article Processing Fee will be refunded to the author in accordance with the journal's current policy.

The Fast-Track Review fee is paid specifically for expedited handling and review processing and does not influence the editorial or reviewer decision.

Payment instructions will be provided by the Editorial Team after the manuscript has successfully passed the Initial Editorial Validation.
