Upaya Pemerintah Kota Makassar dalam Mewujudkan Ketahanan Kota Pascabencana Banjir

Abstract

Penelitian ini menginvestigasi upaya dan hambatan yang dihadapi oleh pemerintah Kota Makassar dalam mewujudkan ketahanan kota pascabencana banjir. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah Kota Makassar telah berupaya keras dalam menghadapi risiko banjir melalui kebijakan mitigasi risiko banjir yang cukup solid. Investasi dalam pengembangan infrastruktur dan sistem drainase telah dilakukan, dan sistem peringatan dini telah diimplementasikan. Upaya edukasi masyarakat juga telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang risiko banjir. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi sejumlah hambatan yang masih dihadapi pemerintah, termasuk keterbatasan sumberdaya, perubahan iklim yang meningkatkan kompleksitas risiko banjir, kesadaran masyarakat yang perlu ditingkatkan, dan masalah perkotaan yang tidak teratur. Hambatan-hambatan ini menekankan urgensi untuk mengambil tindakan yang lebih proaktif dalam merespons perubahan iklim dan memastikan perencanaan perkotaan yang lebih teratur. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi lintas sektor dan partisipasi berbagai pemangku kepentingan dalam mengatasi hambatan-hambatan tersebut. Langkah-langkah adaptif, kampanye kesadaran publik yang efektif, dan perencanaan perkotaan yang terkoordinasi adalah kunci untuk membangun ketahanan kota yang lebih baik terhadap banjir di Kota Makassar.
